  • 102 Steps

About

Healthcare organizations are complex human systems. Outcomes are shaped not only by strategy, structure, policy, and technology, but also by how people experience work, interpret what is happening, relate to one another, make decisions, and adapt under pressure. OD Foundations: The Practice of Healthcare Transformation introduces a practical approach to helping healthcare organizations move from reactive problem-solving toward thoughtful, evidence-informed transformation. You will learn how to: • Connect organizational challenges to strategy and outcomes; • Look beneath isolated events to identify recurring system patterns; • Clarify purpose, ownership, scope, participation, and decision rights before acting; • Distinguish evidence from assumptions and develop plausible explanations; • Help stakeholders make sense of evidence together; • Design responses that target the conditions producing current outcomes; and • Build learning and adjustment into implementation. You may complete the program from beginning to end, enter at the stage most relevant to a current challenge, use the tools with a manager or mentor, or apply each module to a formal design challenge. No previous OD education is required. The program is relevant to people working in: • Organization Development • People & Culture • Change Management • Learning & Development • Quality Improvement • Corporate or Clinical Leadership • Clinical Operations And all other roles involved in shaping organizational change.
